ClarityStorm Commercial Data License

Grant of License

Subject to the terms of this license, ClarityStorm Data grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use the licensed dataset (the “Data”) for your organization's internal business purposes.

Permitted Uses

• Internal analysis, research, and reporting within your organization
• Training and evaluation of machine learning models for internal use
• Incorporation into internal tools, dashboards, and applications
• Publication of derivative works such as charts, analyses, research papers, and trained model weights, provided the raw data is not included or reconstructable from the output
• Attribution-credited academic research and publication

Restrictions

You may not:

1. Redistribute the Data in whole or in part, in original or modified form, to any third party
2. Resell or sublicense the Data or any portion of it
3. Share the Data files with individuals or entities outside your organization
4. Publish the raw data or any dataset that substantially reproduces the original records
5. Use the Data to create a competing data product for commercial distribution
6. Remove or obscure any attribution, license notices, or metadata included with the Data

“Organization” means the single legal entity that purchased this license. Contractors and vendors working directly for that entity under confidentiality obligations may access the Data solely on that entity's behalf.

Attribution Requirement

Any publication, presentation, or external-facing derivative work that draws on this Data must include the following attribution:

NJ Crash Records 2001–2022, sourced from NJ DOT public crash data (nj.gov), processed by ClarityStorm Data (claritystorm.com).

Free Sample Exception

The 1,000-row sample distributed via Hugging Face Hub (claritystorm/nj-crash-records-2001-2022) is released separately under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0) and is not governed by this license.

No Warranty

THE DATA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLARITYSTORM DATA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Data in your possession.

Governing Law

This license is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
